Firefighters in southern China rescued a worker who accidentally fell into an elevator shaft from the 29th floor.<br /><br />The video, filmed in the city of Liupanshui in Guizhou Province on December 22, shows a firefighter tied by safety ropes lowering down the elevator shaft to reach the worker hanging from cables.<br /><br />The fireman finally reaches the worker while another rescuer can be seen using a key to open the fourth-floor lift doors to bring the worker to safety.<br /><br />According to reports, the man called an elevator on the 29th floor and stepped into the shaft when the doors opened, not realizing the carriage hadn’t arrived.<br /><br />The worker was rescued successfully after 20 minutes, reports said.
