Locals were shocked after a wild elephant raided their garden and played with a blanket that was hanging out to dry.<br /><br />The playful jumbo stomped over the lawn while looking for food in Chonburi, eastern Thailand, last Saturday (December 28) night.<br /><br />It had just finished drinking from a nearby stream when it pulled a blue blanket from the washing line and began tossing it back and forth over its head.<br /><br />It then trudged away, breaking plant pots and eating bananas from a nearby tree.<br /><br />Shocked resident, Khun Sornsri, said the elephant had invaded his garden several times in recent months and on each occasion played with the blankets.<br /><br />He said: "This elephant is a casual visitor to our village. He always comes late at night looking for some food.<br /><br />"The interesting thing is that he always takes the blanket and throws it in the air onto himself before walking away.<br /><br />"We normally wait from a distance until the jumbo is full and leaves because we are worried that shouting at him could startle him.''
