Spending on Digital Games <br />Reaches $109 Billion.<br />The revenue in 2019 is a jump from <br />the $106.1 billion the industry <br />generated the year before.<br />That is a three percent earnings <br />increase from 2018.<br />'Fortnite' was the top-earning title <br />last year with $1.8 billion.<br />Most of 2019's spending was <br />thanks to free-to-play titles.<br /> which accounted for 80 percent <br />of the digital gaming gross.<br />Revenue for mobile gaming also jumped thanks to AAA franchises getting involved.<br />These include games such as<br />'Mario Kart Tour' and 'Call of Duty Mobile,' <br />which can be downloaded at no cost.<br />In its first month, players spent over <br />$37 million on 'Mario Kart Tour.'
