Iran's Foreign Minister <br />Calls US Soleimani Strike an <br />Act of Terrorism and War.<br />Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad <br />Zarif made the comments during an <br />interview with an NPR reporter.<br />Zarif called the U.S. drone strike that <br />killed Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani <br />"a cowardly armed attack" that "amounts to war." .<br />[Iran] will respond according to our own timing and choice. , Mohammad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister, via NPR News.<br />The Iranian people <br />have turned out by the <br />tens of thousands to publicly <br />mourn the death of Soleimani.<br />Zarif was asked to clarify the <br />scope of the Iranian response <br />to Soleimani's killing.<br />[In] exercising our right to self-defense, we are bound by international law, unlike the United States, which is not bound by international law, Mohammad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister, via NPR News.<br />He also stated that <br />prisoner negotiations between <br />the U.S. and Iran would be suspended.<br />Zarif was scheduled to deliver an <br />address to the U.N. Security Council <br />in NYC on Thursday.<br />Though he applied for a visa 25 days <br />before the address, the U.S. State <br />Department did not issue it, stating it <br />"didn't have enough time to issue a visa."
