A drunk driver without a licence smashed their car into a shop and threatened the staff with a sword in eastern China at around 5 am on January 4.<br /><br />The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Huai'an in Jiangsu Province, shows a white Audi plunging into a shop through its doors and reversing back into the road.<br /><br />The driver then came out of the car and took a sword out from the backseat, before using the weapon to hit the glass door and walking into the shop. <br /><br />A woman staying overnight in the shop walked out and tried to deter the man.<br /><br />Police arrested the driver at his home after receiving the alert. <br /><br />According to reports, the man named Shi went for drinks with a friend and had an argument with him. Because Shi was angry, he drove to smash his friend's shop and used a sword to threaten the employees.<br /><br />Shi has been detained and the case is in further investigation.
