Australian Police Accuse 24 People <br />of Intentionally Setting Bushfires.<br />The New South Wales Police released a statement <br />on Monday regarding the charges.<br />Legal action has been taken against 183 people <br />for fire-related offenses since Nov. 8.<br />53 citizens have received cautions for failing to comply with the fire ban.<br />and 47 people are accused of discarding a lit cigarette <br />or match on land, according to the police statement.<br />So far, 24 people have died due <br />to the bushfires in Australia.<br />Almost 18 million acres of land <br />have been burned to date.<br />The fires have affected close to half a billion animals in New South Wales
