Oscars to go Hostless for <br />the Second Straight Year.<br />The decision has been confirmed <br />by ABC boss Karey Burke. .<br />It follows a previous move to have <br />the 2019 Oscars go without an emcee.<br />Despite no host, last year's <br />Academy Awards received <br />positive reviews for its pace.<br />Compared to 2018, viewership also jumped 12 percent with nearly 30 million tuning in.<br />In May of 2019, Burke hinted <br />that the 2020 event would go <br />without a host as well.<br />We’re extremely proud of how the show turned out creatively and how well it performed this year, so I think you will see us not messing with that formula to the best of our abilities, Karey Burke, via 'TheWrap'.<br />The 2020 Oscars are set to <br />air February 9 on ABC
