Three people, including a two-year-old boy, were killed and at least five seriously injured after a gunman opened fire at a shopping mall in Thailand on January 9.<br /><br />The masked man burst into the Robinson store in Lopburi, around 150km north of Bangkok, at around 9:00pm local time. <br /><br />He is said to have shot dead a security guard followed by a young woman working at a gold jewellery store before a two-year-old girl was shot.<br /><br />The two staff died at the scene and the girl died later at hospital. At least five others, including one tourist, were seriously injured and rushed to hospital.<br /><br />The gunman was seen fleeing on a motorcycle before police arrived on the scene, believed to have been there to have robbed a gold store inside the mall and leaving with valuables.<br /><br />Police Colonel Kritsana Pattanacharoen said the police know the suspect's identity and are currently searching for him.<br /><br />Pattanacharoen said: "The police are now patrolling all areas and are looking for the man. Witnessed have described his appearance and we know his identity.<br /><br />"Moreover, we sent the force to the scene inspecting evidence including fingerprints. <br /><br />"We will take this extremely seriously and if the gunman resists the arrest the police will shoot him without hesitation."
