Forest department officials have rescued six pythons trapped in reinforced concrete pipes in the east Indian state of Odisha.<br /><br />The incident took place on January 12 in the small village of Gajamara located in the state's Dhenkanal district.<br /><br />Footage shows a snake-catcher crawling backwards after catching one of the pythons, with two other teammates seen waiting at the entrance to assist.<br /><br />In total six pythons were recovered from the underground piping, with one being 18-feet in length. <br /><br />According to the reports, the pythons were first discovered by the locals who heard a strange noise coming out of the pipes.<br /><br />After the rescue operation, the snakes were released into the nearby forests.
