Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria spoke to the press about Kento Momota’s departure from Malaysia to Japan on Wednesday morning.<br /><br />He said the police had recorded statements from Momota, Japan national team assistant coach Yu Hirayama and physiologist Arkifuki Morimoto about the car accident they were involved in.<br /><br />The van the three were travelling in rammed into a trailer on the Maju Expressway as they headed to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday. They escaped with injuries while their van driver died in the accident.
