Janelle Monáe Identifies <br />as Non-Binary In a recent post to Twitter,<br />singer and actress Janelle Monáe<br />seemingly revealed that she<br />identifies as non-binary. The 34-year-old celebrity retweeted a gif of Stevonnie,<br />a non-binary character from ‘Steven Universe,’ with the<br />caption, “Are you a boy or girl? I’m an experience.” The post additionally read, “there is absolutely<br />nothing better than living outside the gender binary.” In her retweet, Monáe also added<br />the hashtag, “#IAmNonbinary.” While Monáe did not provide any<br />further details on Twitter, she did<br />recently address the topic at a press<br />panel for her show, ‘Homecoming.’ During the panel, Monáe talked about “labels” and how<br />she doesn’t want to “live [her] life in a binary way.” Janelle Monáe,<br />via ‘Variety’
