Pullups with a Barbell?? Yep. Fooling around during a workout 30+ years ago l discovered that l could do a Barbell Pullup. The Ab cramp l get on these beats ANY amount of Sit Ups or Crunches l've done in the past. I'm using 139.5lb here and notice l start standing on the floor but, move to standing on one and then two plates for more ROM. The plates are each 2" thick. Guess what happens when you pull on the bar to lift it? Your torso gets pulled down forcing you to straighten your legs leading to a MASSIVE Hamstring stretch and that's just so you can LIFT the weight!! Now, the lift itself as you can see doesn't have a whole lot of Scapular movement which means the arms & Posterior Delts are doing most of the work. So, could you use an exercise that stretches out the Hammies AS you build up some pulling strength with the arms & Rear Delts?? Who couldn't right??
