‘Monty Python' Co-Founder<br />Terry Jones Dead at 77 Beloved comedian, screenwriter<br />and historian Terry Jones died<br />on Jan. 21 after a long battle<br />with frontal lobe dementia. According to a statement by his family,<br />Jones fought a “brave” and “always good<br />humored battle” with the disease. They also remembered him as a<br />“truly loving man,” praising his work for<br />providing pleasure to “countless millions.” Jones Family, via<br />‘Hollywood Reporter’ Jones was best known as a founding member of<br />the famed British comedy troupe ‘Monty Python.’ He also acted in and co-directed the 1975<br />comedy ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail.’ He then went on to become the sole director<br />of ‘Monty Python’s Life of Brian’ in 1979, and<br />‘Monty Python's The Meaning of Life’ in 1983. Among other talents, Jones was also a<br />prolific children’s author and a noted<br />scholar of medieval and ancient history.
