Sanders Surges <br />to the Top With Biden <br />in Democratic Presidential Bid The results of a new <br />CNN poll show the Vermont Senator <br />at the top of the pack of hopefuls. The poll marks the first time <br />Sanders' numbers have surpassed <br />Biden in the bid for the 2020 <br />Democratic presidential nomination. It shows that 27% of registered <br />Democrat voters — and left-leaning <br />independents — support Sanders. Biden remains in <br />the top tier with 24% of <br />Democrat voter support. With a 2% poll margin <br />of error, neither candidate <br />currently has a clear lead over the other. The results are a 7 point improvement <br />for Sanders since the Dec. CNN poll. The same poll shows that <br />Biden, Sanders, Warren and Bloomberg <br />are supported by registered voters <br />significantly more than President Trump.
