Carnival festivities kicked off in Bolivia on Sunday (January 19) with the resurrection of Pepino the Cucumber from the dead, who represents the spirit of the carnival. <br /><br />Footage shows the clown-like figure of Pepino being paraded in a red casket through the streets of the capital La Paz as dozens of dancers ask for him to come back to life.<br /><br />The annual ritual marks the beginning of carnival season in Bolivia.
