This was the heart-stopping moment an Indian police official saved a passenger who was about to fall from a moving train.<br /><br />A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, D Vijayakumar, was on duty on platform number 8 at Chennai Egmore Railway Station on January 22.<br /><br />A passenger, carrying a handbag and backpack, arrived late and tried to get into Chennai Egmore-Dadar Express which had begun to move. <br /><br />Though he managed to get in, he was unable to haul his heavy luggage in and began to lose balance. <br /><br />Seeing the man dangling desperately from the door, Vijayakumar ran to help him and pushed him back into the coach along with the luggage. <br /><br />The train stopped as someone pulled the chain and the passenger, who was in shock, thanked Vijayakumar for saving his life. <br /><br />“Accidents happen when passengers arrive late and try to get into the train. While I am happy I did my duty, the man would have lost his legs or life if I was not there,” said Vijayakumar to local media.
