This is the moment an injured python was rescued after being burned by crop fires in Thailand. <br /><br />The snake was found on Wednesday (January 22) in Ang Thong province where local farmers had set alight waste sugar can husks.<br /> <br />Fires have caused chronic air pollution this month by sending thick clouds of smoke into the atmosphere. <br /> <br />The 13ft long python is another of the victims. It was found in thick bushes by concerned locals. <br /> <br />Footage from rescue worker Jirawat Iamlamai shows the exhausted laying across leaves. Its entire body was burned. <br /> <br />Vets rushed to the scene after the witness reported that they saw the serpent attempting slithering from the flames in the sugar cane fields. <br /> <br />Jirawat and his team carefully lifted the python into a sack to be taken to his animal hospital in Pathum Thani province. <br /> <br />The animal lover, who is an expert in treating injured reptiles, said: "The snake is now in good hands, so we hope it will get well soon. We will free the python back into the wild after finishing the treatment."
