A huge fire caused by the explosion of gas cylinders tore through a residential building in western India on Friday (January 24th).<br /><br />The incident occurred in the Kurla West area of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. <br /><br />A video showed flames engulfing the two-storey building and a further explosion.<br /><br />According to local media reports, the 80–year old building caught fire after several cylinders exploded in a second-floor apartment.<br /><br />Residents heard a total of four explosions before the building caught fire, according to reports.<br /><br />Seven fire engines along with two response vehicles and six water tankers were employed to control the situation.
