A wild king cobra was caught inside a home and then given its own glittery silver hat. <br /><br />The 5ft-long monocled cobra, which is one of the deadliest in the world, was caught in a residential property in Ang Thong, central Thailand, on January 10. <br /><br />But the rescue team could not resist the chance to play with the reptile.<br /><br />Snake handler, Jirawat, briefly gave the cobra a glamorous hat he had made especially for snakes.<br /><br />Jirawat said: ''I made the hat during the New Year holidays and was waiting for the next snake to give it to. This one was quite aggressive, so I don't think he liked his hat so much.'' <br /><br />In the video, Jirawat is heard telling the snake to ''stay cool, stay cool,'' but it reacts ferociously by striking and hissing. <br /><br />The cobra was put inside a bag, removed from the grounds of the home, then released into the wilderness several miles away.<br /><br />The snake was not harmed in any way by the strange hat-giving stunt which was performed by a professional reptile expert.
