A Japanese boy keeps himself entertained on a long train ride by playing with his ninja paper doll - sticking it to the carriage window.

The boy's mother Sato Fuki made the figure for her son to keep him busy while travelling in Tokyo, Japan on January 17.

The red ninja was pasted on a clear acrylic so the boy can make it appear to jump through the railway lines and overhead cables as the train speeds along the tracks.

Aside from being a mother, Sato Fuki is also a toy-maker who conceptualizes models that people can easily make at home.

She said: ''This is a great way to keep children busy when they are on long train journeys. It also stimulates their imagination.''
