In many communities, barbershops are an effective way to reach people at high risk for certain health conditions.<br /><br />According to a new study, they may be a good place to test black men for diabetes.<br /><br />"Diabetes screening is especially important among black men. They have some of the highest rates of diabetic complications".<br /><br />Study co-author David Lee<br /><br />Researchers found that black men in America are at a higher risk for type 2 diabetes than men of other ethnic groups.
