Refugees were sent fleeing after clashes during a protest forced authorities to fire tear gas on the Greek island of Lesbos today (February 3).<br /><br />Residents of the port town of Mytilini were protesting against the Moria refugee camp inhabitants.<br /><br />Footage shows refugees fleeing from the violence and disputes further up the road, one man is seen collapsing.<br /><br />Further footage shows an Afghan father giving a chilling piece to camera where he pleads: "We did not come for bread, water, clothes or money. <br /><br />"We came so our children can have an education and live. <br /><br />"This is my daughter and I want her to live, I did not live for 40 years but they have to live, so they can feel the meaning of life. <br /><br />"If there are human rights, if Europe defends these rights, then please stop this suffering. If not. We deport us. Deport us." <br /><br />The filmer explained: "This man from Herat says after he got heavily teargassed with his two children. <br /><br />"The boy is 11 and the girl is six. <br /><br />"After this statement, he went back into the crowd to find his wife, who has a baby."<br /><br />The island is directly six miles at its narrowest part - from the Turkish mainland making it a hotspot for fleeing refugees wanting to get to Europe.
