A 12-year old cow was rescued by firefighters after it fell into a well in the east Indian state of Odisha. <br /><br />The incident happened on February 2 near the government high school in Balikuda village.<br /><br />Footage shows the cattle trapped inside a pit as the locals gather to watch the rescuers at work.<br /><br />According to reports, the cow was unable to move as its leg got stuck down the well. <br /><br />Due to a shortage of manpower, the head of the animal rescue organisation was later assisted by the fire department officials. <br /><br />Eventually, the firefighters arrived and pulled the cow out after it had been trapped for nearly 8 hours. The operation in total took 3 hours to complete.
