Two pupils were trapped and seriously injured after their school bus crashed into a utility post on Thursday (February 6) morning.<br /><br />The youngsters were among more than 300 children in a convoy of seven coaches going on a school trip when the vehicle lost control on a bend.<br /><br />Driver Nisofe Niseng, 34, swerved across the road before the bus crashed in Songkla, southern Thailand, just before sunrise.<br /><br />Emergency workers arrived at the scene to find the driver, two teachers, two assistants and two pupils trapped in the wreckage.<br /><br />Rescue workers spent more than one hour to use the cutting equipment to free the injured passengers and driver. All seven injures were rushed to the local hospital.<br /><br />Other passengers were not injured by the collision but were panicked and frightened. <br /><br />They were later transferred to a new bus to return home to their families.<br /><br />Local police began to interview witnesses while checking the site of the crash to establish what caused the accident.
