The current coronavirus global outbreak out of China has led to a sharp decline in the number of tourists.<br /><br />Local tourism operators revealed that with the coronavirus outbreak, over five thousand tourist groups have cancelled their trips to Malaysia since January.<br /><br />The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac) said they were looking to target new markets so that they can hit the projected 30 million tourists for Visit Malaysia 2020 after a sharp decline in tourists from China.<br />
