British man Satya Thakor failed the exams he needed to pass to become a doctor—nearly a decade ago.<br />But Newser reports Thakor apparently spent the next seven years pretending to his family that he actually was one.<br />Then, he tried to kill them to keep them from discovering the lie.<br />The 35-year-old was sentenced to 14 years in connection with the May 14, 2019, attack on four family members.<br />Thakor tried to suffocate his mother-in-law in her bedroom with a rag and pillow, then began stabbing her.
