Thousands turned out in Indonesia to protest to save numerous pigs from being destroyed during an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in North Sumatra. <br /><br />Residents from every walk of life joined in the "Save Babi" peace rally and marched to the North Sumatra DPRD office in Medan on February 10.<br /><br />The demonstrators carried banners reading '#savebabi non-political peaceful protest movement. <br /><br />This action aims to ensure there is no extermination of pigs during efforts to contain an outbreak of ASF virus that has spread in a number of areas in North Sumatra.
