Locals work together to rescue a pregnant woman after she went into labour in eastern India. <br /><br />According to local reports, due to the lack of accessible roads, an ambulance could not reach the village. <br /><br />Visuals show a group of men carrying an expecting mother in a makeshift stretcher while few others trailed behind. <br /><br />The incident took place on Monday (February 10) in Kusumkhunti village, in the Indian state of Odisha.<br /><br />Local media also reported that the woman had to be carried for 5 kilometres through hilly terrain before reaching the nearest road where an ambulance was arranged to take the woman to a nearby hospital.
