Rick Moranis to Star in<br />‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ Reboot After a 24-year hiatus from acting, Moranis is stepping<br />back into the spotlight to revisit one of his most iconic roles. He took a break from acting after<br />his wife, Ann Belsky, died of breast cancer in 1991. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter,’ <br />Moranis will reprise his role as scientist <br />Wayne Szalinski in a reboot of ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids.’ The new film, titled ‘Shrunk,’ will also star<br />Josh Gad as Nick, Wayne’s grown-up son. ‘Shrunk’ will reportedly recreate the<br />original movie's premise, with Gad’s<br />character accidentally shrinking his own<br />kids, just as his father did before him. ‘Shrunk’ will be directed by Joe Johnston,<br />who previously helmed the original movie. Johnston has also directed other well-known<br /> films such as ‘Jumanji,’ ’Jurassic Park III’ and <br />‘Captain America: The First Avenger.’
