A bull which fell into a dry well in north India was rescued after a marathon five hour operation to dig it free. <br /><br />The animal is believed to have fallen into the well on the night of February 12 near Farrukhabad, in the Kayamganj Mandi area, Uttar Pradesh. <br /><br />Some villagers were passing through the area that morning, when they hears the bull's cries, they found the distressed animal and informed the police and forest department for help. <br /><br />The rescue team dug up the adjacent area around the well and used an excavator to lift the bull free. <br /><br />The animal received some scratches on its body, which were treated by vets.
