Students of Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi have accused Indian police of barging into a library and attacking those studying inside.<br /><br />CCTV footage from the reading room of the library allegedly shows the police entering the library on December 15, 2019, and beating up students studying peacefully.<br /><br />Police targeted the library as Jamia and several other universities in India have been leading protests against a Citizenship Act, which allegedly discriminates against the Muslims.<br /><br />Jamia administration has stated that Delhi Police entered the campus without authorisation, used force to inflict brutal and grievous physical injuries on the students and vandalised university properties.
