Sporadic rainfall in a hilly region of north India led to a mountain road collapsing in northern India.<br /><br />The incident took place on the Haldwani-Haidakhan road, Uttarakhand state, on February 24.<br /><br />After prolonged rain, footage shot from nearby shows the road cracking and eventually collapsing into the valley below.<br /><br />Due to the collapse the route, that connects to at least 80 villages, has been obstructed for a stretch of 40 km.<br /><br />The road administration is reportedly yet to send the required machinery to open the road.
