An alleged thief sought the help of morning walkers in Bangalore, south India, to rescue him from the third floor window of a house where he was stranded. <br /><br />The walkers alerted the family which lived in the house, who called the police and the fire brigade personnel. The firemen brought down him down with the help of a ladder. <br /><br />Police sources said the man had probably climbed to the third floor and tried to break in through the window on the early hours of February 23. <br /><br />But he was unable to get in as it was secured with a grill. He then lost the nerve to climb down and called for help when he spotted the morning walkers from above. <br /><br />The man, has been identified as Suhant B (28), a construction worker. <br /><br />“He is claiming he climbed to the third floor while fleeing from a drunken fight with his colleagues. We are probing all angles,” said a police officer.
