A sixteen-year-old student from north India suffering from a lung condition brought an oxygen cylinder with her into a major exam, showing grit and determination in her studies.<br /><br />Safia Javed, from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, has been suffering from respiratory problems for the last five years due to complications from a lung operation, and has needed to be constantly on oxygen for the last 15 months.<br /><br />Safia, due to her health problems, had to take her class 10th standard exams on February 24 as a private student. Her family obtained special permission to allow Safia to bring an oxygen cylinder into the exam centre. <br /><br />Safia's father commented: "My daughter was a bright student, but due to her health condition she couldn't go school regularly. <br /><br />"She is very strong and wanted to take the exam as the 10th board exam is very important for students."
