An amazing natural phenomenon was spotted by Ali Khan as methane was trapped in Abraham Lake after it froze over.<br /><br />Khan filmed the scene on February 17 as thousands of bubbles can be seen in trapped inside the clear ice.<br /><br />The large white bubbles are created when water-dwelling bacteria feed on decaying organic matter and expel methane gas. When the water freezes the bubbles are suspended in the ice.
