A truck plunged into parked vehicles after trying to avoid a boy running across a road in China.<br /><br />The dashcam video, provided by local police in the county of Chongyi in Jiangxi Province on February 26, shows a boy suddenly running across a road, so the truck driver swerved to try and avoid the child.<br /><br />However, the driver pressed the accelerator instead of the brake by mistake, causing the truck to smash into other vehicles.<br /><br />A woman in a red shirt just managed to escape being hit by the oncoming truck.<br /><br />Several cars and motorbikes were damaged and the boy suffered minor injuries and was sent to hospital.<br /><br />The case is being investigated, reports said.
