Twelve pensioners trapped in a faulty lift have been saved when they were on the way home from a university party.<br /><br />The group was returning home after attending a ball at a university hall at late night of February 25, in Chachoengsao, eastern Thailand.<br /><br />But the elevator shuttered and became stuck on the fifth floor. They called for help but with the air levels dropping, after 20 minutes the elderly residents started to panic<br /><br />University staff went to the scene and helped to prise open the door so that the pensioners could climb out one-by-one.<br /><br />One of the passengers said it had no warning sign when all of them stepped into the lift.<br /><br />She said: "We thought it would be fine to go down with all of us, but it was unfortunately stuck."<br /><br />All twelve guests were safe and went back home that night after they had thanked the staff who rescued them.
