A 13-year-old girl from east India is said to possess an extraordinarily special skill which allows her to read, draw and identify various objects despite being completely blindfolded. <br /><br />Sonalisha Mohanta, a resident of Bankia village of the Keonjhar district in Odisha, can be seen performing the seemingly impossible feat, by reading a selection of books and identifying a cash note. <br /><br />Mohanta claims to have been gifted with a 'third eye' and doesn’t need real eyesight to carry on her usual life. This talent is sometimes known in India as "Midbrain Activation", or super-sensory development, and is hotly debated for its validity. <br /><br />Rupa Bhanu Mishra, Chief Medical Officer with PRM Medical College And Hospital said; “I am also surprised and taken aback by her extraordinary abilities, this is such a miracle which is beyond my imaginations. It should be investigated and researched upon which could help so many people who are actually blind.”<br /><br />“This is one of the greatest challenges and surprising as to how is this even possible.”<br /><br />Mohanta is reportedly a very gifted student at her school and rose to fame after riding a bicycle through heavy traffic with her eyes blindfolded.
