Malaysia has detected 28 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, the biggest daily increase recorded to date.<br /><br />Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a statement on Friday, said the new cases were detected among patients-under-investigation, close contacts and those involved in humanitarian aid missions.<br /><br />He added that the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia is at the early containment level.
