Charlie, a female Komodo dragon at the Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee, is a new mom.<br />The reptile has proven to be an independent mom after giving birth to 3 babies without a male partner.<br />Charlie and a potential mate were placed together in hopes of breeding, but the first-time mom did it on her own.<br />She produced three brothers, named Onyx, Jasper and Flint.<br />The ability to produce her own hatchlings is through a phenomenon called parthenogenesis.
