Israel to Require Quarantine <br />for All Entering the Country The 14-day quarantine was <br />announced by the country's <br />prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The quarantine is set <br />to begin on Thursday. Daniel Estrin, Reporter, via NPR News Israel's health minister, <br />Yaakov Litzman, called the move a "necessary step." Netanyahu spoke with <br />U.S. Vice President Mike Pence by <br />phone a day before the announcement. The Vice President's office <br />did not respond for comment. As of the beginning of the week, <br />40 cases of COVID-19 had been detected in Israel.
