Waves of students have been seen making their way home from Thessaloniki as Greece shuts down schools and universities to halt the spread of the COVID-19 virus.<br /><br />The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has a student population of around 75,000 making it one of the largest educational institutions in the Balkans.<br /><br />A student interviewed said: "I'm afraid to touch anything inside buses as there is a huge crowd moving just like before the coronavirus, nothing has changed even after the virus appeared in the city.<br /><br />"I believe with proper prevention we can deal with it (coronavirus)."<br /><br />This footage was filmed on March 11.
