This is the terrifying moment a thick cloud of grey smoke from a grass fire was blown across a farmer's field.<br /><br />Locals were battling the blaze caused by soaring temperatures and dry land in Roi-Et, northeastern Thailand on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon.<br /><br />A sudden gust of wind caused a bizarre 'fire storm' with the smoke from the fire spinning like a tornado as it zipped across the field.<br /><br />The firestorm continued to blow over fields and burn for more than four hours before the firefighters could extinguish it.<br /><br />Village official Banwit Nomnan said the firestorm fields across two sub-districts.<br /><br />He said: "The wind was so strong that it was hard to control the fire, it blew and burned more than 276 acres across two sub-districts.<br /><br />"Fortunately, there were no casualties and no properties damaged only the dry fields suffered from the fire."
