Nepal has closed Mount Everest for the remainder of this climbing season due to the coronavirus outbreak.<br />Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai said expeditions to mountain peaks in the March-May season had been suspended.<br />According to Reuters, the country typically pulls in more than $4 million dollars per year in climbing permit fees.<br />Nepal currently has one confirmed case of the coronavirus out of 450 people tested.<br />The suspension of expeditions will affect hundreds of foreign climbers.
