Police in the Philippines check motorists as the country enforces a coronavirus lock down.<br /><br />Military checkpoints were set up around Metro Manila, the country's capital region, as a strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19 locally between people.<br /><br />In the video from Sunday (March 15), travellers trying to enter the border had to show a certificate of employment to prove the address of their workplace in Manila.<br /><br />Everyone's temperature was also checked to prevent sick people from getting in or out.<br /><br />Onlooker Kendra Lobramonte said that the checkpoints are causing massive traffic so he goes to work at least two hours early before his shift.<br /><br />He said: "I understand why this has to be done. The implementation of the quarantine is this strict."
