This is the moment a huge Bryde's whale was found dead floating in the sea.<br /><br />Fisherman Manus Kongkerd, 47, spotted the marine creature in the Andaman Sea in Phang Nga, southern Thailand on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon.<br /><br />He found a giant Bryde's whale carcass 10 nautical miles away from the shore and sailed back to report it to coastguards.<br /><br />District Seriff Athiwat Phromchit coordinated with fishing trawlers to drag the body of the dead animal back to the shore.<br /><br />Initiall inspection found no wounds on the 45ft long whale but the carcass had already started decomposing and officials believe it had been dead for at least four days.<br /><br />The Department of Marine and Coastal Resource's director, Prathom Rasmee, said it the caused of its death is still unknown.<br /><br />He said: "The Bryde's whale is a friendly giant sea creature that can be found in the Andaman sea, so it was devastating to see it dead.<br /><br />"We will send the whale carcass back to the research centre for the post-mortem examination to find the cause of its death."
