It appears that getting a gold watch and settling into a rocking chair after retirement isn't the best thing for the brain.<br />According to UPI, a new study reveals that setting goals post-retirement may help protect against cognitive decline.<br />Women who retired, or 'disengaged,' from demanding careers became less ambitious post-retirement.<br />In fact, they also had steeper declines in cognitive functioning than peers who remained employed.
