Target to Reserve Weekly Time<br />Slot for ‘Vulnerable’ Shoppers With the coronavirus pandemic causing people<br />across the nation to stockpile goods, many stores<br />have been experiencing unimaginable shortages. This panic buying has caused a number<br />of shoppers, mainly at-risk groups, to have a<br />difficult time finding the supplies they need. In order to ensure that those who are most vulnerable to <br />COVID-19 have a safe, accessible shopping experience, Target has decided to set aside<br />a portion of time exclusively<br />for the elderly and those with<br />underlying health concerns. Starting March 18 in all 1,800 of Target’s<br />stores, the first hour of each Wednesday <br />will be reserved for “vulnerable guests” only. This will allow them to not only take their time<br />shopping, but it will also prevent overcrowding, which<br />is especially dangerous to their health because<br />of the coronavirus' infectious nature. Target is encouraging its other guests to<br />“plan their shopping trips around this time frame.”
