Jibra'il is the archangel responsible for revealing the Quran to Muhammad, verse by verse.<br /><br />3 times nominally. Although in multiple places angel Gabriel (Jibril) was alluded and implicitly mentioned. As an example, in verse 98 of chapter 2, Almighty Allah mentioned angel Gabriel in name.
