Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced on Monday (March 23) that the government will be allocating an additional RM500 million to the Health Ministry to fight the Covid-19 pandemic which includes purchasing ventilators, Intensive Care Unit equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical workers.<br /><br />An additional RM100 million will be allocated for the hiring of 2,000 contract staff.
